Collection of modern and contemporary Vietnamese art
The collection of modern and contemporary Vietnamese art features works by renowned masters, graduates of L'École des beaux-arts de l'Indochine (EBAI) such as Bui Xuan Phai, Nguyen Tu Nghiem, and Hoang Lap Ngon.
It also includes paintings from the transitional period between modern and contemporary art, created by artists like Do Phan, Nguyen Dinh Dung, Chu Hong Son, Khuc Thanh Binh, and Hoang Hong Cam, among others. Additionally, there are several woodblock prints by Ngo Dinh Chuong, Phung Pham, and Nguyen Trong Hop, as well as etchings by Tran Nguyen Hieu.
The collection further showcases the early contemporary art of Vietnam, highlighting works by Le Hong Thai, Le Quang Ha, Truong Tan, Do Tuan Anh, Nguyen Minh Thanh, and Nguyen Van Cuong, along with Eric Leroux, a French self-taught artist who lived in Hanoi from 1992 to 1998 and was a close friend of Salon Natasha. The collection also features collaborative works by various artists. A significant portion of this collection consists of small artworks, which were gifts to Vu Dan Tan and Natasha, either specially created for them or part of projects initiated by Salon Natasha. These include drawings, artists' books, artists' calendars, and postcards designed by the artists.
